Governance Senators

The governance senator position represents a unique opportunity within the MBA Association. It is the only position with direct responsibility over the MBA constitution, a document that outlines the responsibilities of the Officers of the association, including the President and Vice President roles. Further, it oversees the electoral processes within the MBAA. The governance role is critical to ensure that the official policies of the MBAA adapt to changes in the program. In addition, the role ensures that a level of transparency and fairness within the MBAA exists for the student body.

The responsibilities for this position include:

  1. Running fair elections for the President, Vice Presidents and Student Representative roles
  2. Updating and adjusting the MBAA constitution to be more reflective of MBAA procedures
  3. Providing a medium of transparency to the student body in regards to proper procedures and the MBAA
  4. Providing feedback to members of the MBAA as to what actions are permitted under the constitution
  5. Any additional objectives pertaining to constitutional or electoral adjustments
