China Teaching Project

What is the China Teaching Project (CTP)?

Running since 1994, the Ivey China Teaching Project (CTP) is a student-run initiative which offers Ivey MBA students the opportunity to volunteer their time to teach a case-based course to business undergraduate students at the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBU) and Jinan University in Guangzhou. In the past, CTP has also conducted classes at Tsinghua University in Beijing. CTP offers a unique opportunity for MBA students to positively impact future business leaders in China while obtaining valuable international experience and connections.

How Can I Become A Part Of Ivey China Teaching Project?

We strongly encourage MBA students with a passion for teaching and an interest in China to apply to our project. Our partners in Shanghai and Guangzhou have come to expect high standards of excellence from the Ivey China Teaching Project, and we seek to recruit those MBA students that will continue to build on our past accomplishments. Applicants should detail their motivations for volunteering and quantify how they can best contribute to our mandate. Please note that previous teaching experience and Mandarin language skills are not required.

Make a difference during your time at Ivey

Chinese students value our project not only for the opportunity to gain exposure to Western business concepts, but also to better prepare themselves for launching their careers.
