Global Events Club
The Ivey Global Events Club exists to promote candid and respectful dialogue about global issues at the intersection of business, economics and geopolitics. Our aim is to discuss the difficult national and international issues that we believe will be impactful on both a personal and professional level as we strive to develop into global business and community leaders.
To achieve our goals, the GEC employs following tools:
- Guest speakers of national and international renown
- Documentary airings followed by discussions moderated by UWO subject matter experts
- Communiqués sharing student and faculty experiences in the geopolitical arena
The GEC welcomes all students and faculty to take part in our collective learning process and welcomes new input from our colleagues in the spirit of constant improvement.
Above all else and in recognition of the fact that difficult global issues will be addressed, the GEC values respectful dialogue and encourages a high degree of sensitivity.
